How do I get a fast start or whatever in Mario Kart Wii? I’ve been trying to figure it out by like pressing the button repeatedly but it doesn’t work.

each time the light at the start flashes(red yellow green)
when red flashes hold down the accelerate button stop then wait for yellow press xlr8 button same thing with green then when youre about to start hold down the xlr8 button and you should get a head start
